Teamlead IT Security Operations (m/f/d)

Our IT department acts as a Europe-wide IT service provider for the C&A Mode Group and controls the further development and operation of the IT landscape centrally from our European headquarters at Düsseldorf Airport! 

For our IT security department, we are looking for a motivated and experienced IT Security Engineer (m/f/d) who will support us in the further development and design of our security landscape.

Key aspects of this role will include:

• Leading the IT Security Operations Team
• Responsibility for all operational IT security topics in close coordination with the technical departments and the CISO
• Employee development, coaching and establishing a strong feedback culture
• Proactive, cross-departmental support for other teams in defending against and analyzing cyber security attacks
• Planning, testing and further development of the IT security strategy for C&A
• Advice and support for needs analysis, evaluation and implementation of new IT security products and strategies
• Development and introduction of IT security operation models and internal risk management
• Identification and analysis of existing security events and potential vulnerabilities Implementation of various security tests, e.g. in the form of simulated attack scenarios (penetration tests, ...)
• Investigation of possible attack scenarios, new attack techniques and the development of suitable defense methods
• Conception, implementation and operation of new IT Security solutions

We would love to speak to those with a blend of some or all of the following: 

• IT security certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

are an advantage.

• Experience in managing or working within a Security Operations Center, including familiarity with EDR/XDR (Endpoint Detection and Response/Extended Detection and Response) tools, which are central to our security architecture for clients and servers, incident detection and response processes, and threat hunting techniques.
• Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks (such as GDPR, HIPAA or PCI DSS) and experience in ensuring organizational compliance with these standards.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable training in the IT Security environment 

• High team and communication skills, independent working methods and pronounced flexibility 
• Fluent in English and German
