We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to take on the role of SAP Competence Center Lead (m/f/d) within our organization. As the SAP Competence Center Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, implementation, and management of our SAP systems and solutions. You will lead a team of SAP experts, ensuring the optimal functioning, enhancement, and continuous improvement of our SAP landscape to meet business needs. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, project management, and collaboration skills.

Your responsibilities

 

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SAP professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities, provide regular feedback, and contribute to team members' professional development
  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the SAP Competence Center aligned with the overall business objectives
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and enhance existing SAP solutions, ensuring they align with industry best practices and technological advancements
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and oversee the implementation of new SAP modules or functionalities
  • Ensure successful project execution, meeting timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and manage the performance, availability, and stability of the SAP systems and applications
  • Proactively identify and address system issues, bottlenecks, and vulnerabilities to maintain a robust and secure SAP environment
  • Coordinate with end-users and business units to understand their needs and challenges, and provide effective solutions and support
  • Lead change management efforts for SAP-related initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption
  • Manage relationships with SAP vendors, consulting partners, and third-party providers to ensure effective service delivery and timely issue resolution
  • Participate in contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and vendor selection processes
  • Develop and maintain relevant KPIs, metrics, and performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the SAP Competence Center
  • Generate regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP landscape, identifying opportunities to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance user experience

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
  • Extensive experience (15+ years) working with SAP systems, including implementation, configuration, and management
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of leading and managing cross-functional teams
  • In-depth understanding of SAP architecture, modules, and integration points
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in change management, user training, and driving user adoption of SAP solutions
  • Certifications in relevant SAP modules or technologies are a plus
