Your responsibilities at C&A

  • You’ll be the central commercial leader of the assigned product area, under the guidance of the Unit Leader Product Management, delivering a Customer relevant offer in line with the Business Unit, Divisional & Company strategy.
  • You deliver a commercially sound assortment supporting a clear strategy based on thorough analysis of product trends, past performance and market evolution in partnership with Design
  • You are the key advocate of the Customer - know the Customer, analyse the Customer profile, anticipate and act upon Customer needs and translate relevant insights into the collection.
  • You influence Sourcing activities to ensure appropriate capacities are reserved with suitable suppliers according to the agreed sourcing footprint, ensure agreed capacities and lead-times are adhered to.
  • You negotiate final buying price and manage the order placement process including continuous performance analysis of the assigned product area taking action and course correcting to mitigate risk, exploit opportunities and drive profitable top line sales.

What we expect of you

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification
  • Over 5 consecutive years of experience in fashion retail buying, especially for Shoes and ideally also Hard Accessories.
  • Experience in product development, collection building and exposure to production is a must (Including working with Europe and Asia)
  • Fluent English is a must
  • A strong customer led mind set and understanding of the company Customer Value Proposition
