The organisation has new leadership and is embarking on a multi-year transformation program where it is investing significantly to drive growth, revitalize the operational back bone of the business and its digital capabilities. 

The Allocation  team secures and fullfills omni availability to meet the customer’s needs while it ensures the European buy is correctly split to market level based on demand in the assigned category. 

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • Define the allocation by market by breaking down the EU planning by style. Reconcile the national allocations to fit with national intake budgets.
  • Define initial store allocation by option based on demand.
  • Define initial allocation versus replenishment in order to leverage replenishment to ensure bestselling stores are continuously being replenished.
  • Ensure demand based replenishment to the right store in season.
  • Initially define size bows on option/market level and afterwards also on store level.
  • Daily and weekly responsiveness to sales trends by looking into sales on option/size/store level and adapt allocation and replenishment based on these learnings.
  • Synthesizing vast amount of data to comprehensive exception based reporting (size/store).
  • Define seasonality sales curves based on history and market trends, anticipating sales peaks or lows down to store level.
  • Keep integrity of the range intact while allocating. Monitor Open-to-buy on market level, forecast future intakes and take action where required to ensure this integrity and guarantee the intakes as planned.
  • Ensure size availability on core programs.
  • Seasonal allocation review. During this review the allocation and replenishment framework will be signed off. Ensure a robust allocation strategy to optimize sales.

What you bring

 

  • Extensive knowledge of allocation and replenishment
  • Financial and analytical rigor in combination with product affinity to enable consumer focused decisions
  • Extensive knowledge of forecasting, understanding seasonality curves and trends taking into account multiple factors like promotions, events, range assortment, etc
  • Superior knowledge of the retail equation
  • Strong comfortability with massive amount of detail and data
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 year of relevant experience in allocation
  • Fluent in business English, oral and written
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Preferred: Good knowledge of Datawarehouse reporting
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
